This is me doing a split while wearing my new crocs. I love these shoes and have to wear them all of the time with every outfit. I even sleep in them at night!

Here is a picture of all of the great-grandchildren at Gran-Gran's 80th birthday party. It was a little chaotic while the pictures were being taken, so I thought it an opportune moment to sneak a little bit of icing off of the cake...

This may look like an ordinary trip to Wal-Mart, but believe me, it was a monumental occasion today because...it was my first outing without a diaper or pullup! AND no accident! Go me!

I started out helping my mom dust the furniture, but I got a little distracted and ended up dusting John Stanley.

In the past, I haven't had a lot of patience for puzzles, but I've gotten much better lately. I'm really liking shapes these days, so this shapes puzzle is particularly interesting to me...

Now that we have a yard, I like to help my dad with the yard work, like pulling up weeds.

I need a tailor! None of my pants fit me - even size 2T pants seem to fall off, and I'm not into the baggy pants look...

I am becoming more and more opinionated by the day. A couple of weeks ago, I heard the newest Gwen Stefani song on the radio for the first time and said, quote, "This song is amazing, Mama!" When my mom said back to me, "This song IS amazing, Lainey!" I replied, "I know, Mama!" Since then, I have heard it twice and both times have said, "I like this song!"

Another cute story that happened the other day at the grocery store: I was sitting in the grocery cart talking to myself and out of the blue I said, "Let's pray. Father, thank you for this day." Then I jabbered some things that my mom couldn't quite understand, and I finished the prayer with "In Jesus name, Amen." :)

My new favorite thing is playing with blocks.

I played a fun new game at Jared's house where we slid from one side of the hall to the other on a bean bag! What wild Saturday nights we have around here!

With this water hose as my microphone and my mean rendition of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", I just may be the next American Idol!

I never thought of myself as a bossy friend; I pretty much do what I want to do and let my playmates do what they want to do. However, I have very specific ideas in mind of what I want Savannah (who now lives across the street) to do when we are together. As soon as she comes through the door, I start telling her exactly how I want things to be - I tell her that she should push my stroller while I push her stroller. When she is sitting down, I tell her that she can come on and get up. Savannah has a mind of her own, too, though, and if she wants to do my idea, she does it, but if she doesn't want to, then she tells me "No, Lainey" and moves on. She did, however, agree to lay down when I told her to lay down on the ground, as you can see. I was very happy about this and you can tell by the look on my face that I was pondering what I wanted her to do next!
