Blubberings from a little bug named Lainey

So after dinner, we have family devotions at the supper table. I do not like paying attention during this time. In fact, the reading sends me into super creative mode, for some reason. When my mom finished reading tonight and asked me what I was doing, I proudly responded, "I made a merry-go-round for my carrot!"

We had the most amazing vacation this past week to Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The night before we flew out, we stayed in a hotel by the airport. I loved getting cozy in the king sized bed.

We had a great flight, although we did have to sit in our seats for an hour while the plane was being serviced on the runway...not an easy feat for a 3 & 1 year old!

Steamboat Springs had some of the best restaurants! Here's everyone at one of our favorites called the Steamboat Yacht Club. Unfortunately, Granddaddy had a skiing accident the day before and had to be in a neck brace the rest of the trip. He didn't let it slow him down too much, though.

There was a hot tub at the villa, which I loved!

Grandmommy took care of John Stanley and me while everyone else was on the slopes.

We went tubing one night, which was a blast!

At the end of the week, Aunt Jeannie, Uncle Max, Max and Atticus drove over from Denver to see us. Here I am playing with Atticus. He is such a sweet, smiley, gorgeous baby!

Here are John Stanley and I on our "stage"

And here are Max and I racing all over the place!

Of course there was lots of snow and beautiful scenery

and lots of special time with our family!

I love playing with playdough, but my mom says she has a love/hate relationship with it. The love part is that I have such a good time making "birthday cakes" for about a half hour -- all by myself and without whining. The hate part is that it takes the same amount of time to clean up the mess!

John Stanley and I have become pretty good playmates recently. We talk and laugh and even have the occasional pushing fight (well, a little more than occasional...)
